Portside Wharf is one of Brisbane's top entertainment and boutique retail precincts. It also features a Dendy cinema and is home to the many residents who live in the luxury apartments above.
Adding to the glamour of Portside is the Brisbane Cruise Terminal, which sees luxury cruise ships docked alongside the riverfront restaurants.
Portside is located in Hamilton, approximately 7km from the Brisbane CBD. The city lights add to the impressive river views from the waterfront dock.
For seafood lovers, there is the award winning Wilson's Boathouse. Also located on the waterfront is Gusto da Gianni and the fabulous Byblos Bar & Restaurant. Just around the corner is Restaurant Manx, another of Portside's award winning restaurants.
Upstairs is Sono, one of Brisbane's best Japanese restaurants. There is also Gianni Events, a five star venue which is perfect for corporate events and weddings.
Looking for something lighter? Check out Chez Laila, where you can get great coffee, food and wine.
When you're ready for dessert, you can choose from the Movenpick Ice Cream Gallery or the Mahjongg Cafe.
If you prefer to cook for yourself, you can buy fresh fish from Fresh N Wild Fish, which also does dine-in or takeaway meals if you'd rather let someone else do the work.
On the retail side there is Ellia, who lay claim to being Brisbane's best lifestyle store. There is also Vers Boutique for women's fashion, and Tracey Mathers Shoe Studio for imported ladies and mens footwear.
Elle Bache have a salon at Portside for when you need some well deserved pampering, and there is a Bodywise Health & Wellbeing Club to keep in shape after sampling all of the great restaurants Portside has to offer.
Like all good entertainment precincts, Portside features a great wine merchant with Stewart's Wine Co. And if you need some flowers to go with that fine bottle of red, check out Bloomworks Florist.
Most residents in the inner north lead hectic lives. Indeed, most of us wouldn't be able to enjoy life in this area if we didn't work so hard. Elaundry at Portside does their bit to help by providing a total service including dry cleaning, laundry, ironing, alterations and anything else you need, all with valet service.
Last but not least, Portside also has its own Nexta newsagency so you can grab the latest copy of BRW or your favourite magazine.
Above and around the restaurant, cinema and retail complex are luxury apartment buildings. These include the Flare, Infinity and Loft apartment buildings, as well as the yet to be completed Promenade Hamilton apartments.
Flare is the largest of the developments, with 96 one and two bedroom apartments spread across ten levels. The apartments enjoy great river and city views, and feature modern contemporary design and luxury fittings.
Infinity also consists of ten levels, but with only 63 apartments. There are two, three, four and five bedroom apartments in the building, ranging from 220 square metres to 570+. The waterfront apartments feature excellent river and city views.
The Loft building contains only 12 boutique one and two bedroom apartments. These apartments feature full river frontage, and the two bedroom penthouse style apartments feature 4+ metre raked ceilings on the top level.
Promenade Hamilton is another Multiplex development due for completion in 2010. This development consists of 156 luxury apartments spread over 12 levels. There are one, two and three bedroom apartments, and prices range from $399,000 to $1.69m.
