Lawes Street Named Hamilton's Most Expensive
9 April 2009
A report by property research house, RP Data, has revealed Australia's most expensive streets.
As expected, the inner north is home to one of the two Brisbane streets named on the report.
Lawes Street, located towards the top of Hamilton Hill, has been named as Brisbane's second most expensive.
The street is home to around fifteen properties, many of which enjoy views of the Brisbane River and CBD. At the Eldernell Terrace end of the street, views to Moreten Bay are possible on a clear day.
Although river views are available, the street is still quite a few blocks from the river itself.
The number one Brisbane street on the list is Needham Street in Fig Tree Pocket. Needham Street is a small dead end steet, featuring only five properties, each of them on very large blocks with two enjoying absolute riverfront.
Here are the rest of the country's winners:
Dunara Gardens, Point Piper
Rose Bay Avenue, Belleveue Hill
Miller Street, Brighton
Shandford Avenue, Brighton
Saunders Street, Mosman Park
Bishop Road, Dalkeith
Victoria Avenue, Unley Park
The Avenue, Medinide
Southern Cross Drive, Cronin Island
